Proposal
I plan to name my music magazine “Sparks” and the genre will be pop / indie, the name “Sparks” may infer to the audience that both genres are ‘Sparking’ together.
Furthermore my music magazine will be a hybrid- genre, the music magazine will also be music and fashion magazine.
The title of the music magazine will be a different font and colour than the rest of the text that will be featured on the front page, this will be done so that the title of the magazine stands out the most so the audience’s attention directs straight to the title and lets them know who the magazine are and who the publishers are.
My targeted audience for my music magazine “Sparks” will be teenagers – young adults, the main targeted gender is female yet the magazine is unisex but mainly aimed at the female gender as the magazine will be holding fashion content such as makeup, clothing etc. some products that will be mainly targeted at female furthermore the music genre, pop/indie is mainly targeted at the female gender.
My main image will be a close up shot of one of the students at Aquinas College; the model will have direct eye contact to the camera as it makes the image seem intense.
The main cover line will be a new music artist being featured.
As well as this on my music/ fashion magazine I will be having extreme close up shots of other bands, artist and some image featuring the fashion aspect of the magazine.
I will also include upcoming artists, behind the scene articles and special features (fashion)
The style of font that will be used in my music/fashion magazine will be a bold block font so that it shows the dominance of the magazine and stands out from the images.
There will be various font styles in the magazine to tie in with the different article and how they are represented.
The background house style will have colours that are eye catching but also make the magazine seem professional; the colours used won’t be too bright as this may turn the attention of the audience away from the articles and the images.
The images used in my music magazine will be mainly images of the artist and band that will be featured in my magazine but also images of clothes, shoes and images to do with fashion, I will make sure that all the images used will be my own or will be edited to avoid copyright
In the music magazine I will involve a two page spread article which will be the main article in the magazine, the main article will be based on an artist or a band that was voted the most popular that was wanted to be seen in my magazine by my targeted audience.
Most of the images will use the feature of key lighting so that they will stand out and look professional.
I will include certain aspects that my targeted audience voted that they would like to see in the magazine such as the bands and artists that will be featured also the price of the music magazine will be determined on the cost that the target audience are willing to pay yet also keeping in mind the profit.
